According to the official statement, Pierre Gabriel joined from Mainz 05 on loan for half a year. The Espanyol has the right to buy him permanently this summer, and according to team reporter Joan Cami, Pierre Gabriel’s buyout fee is 2.5 million euros.
Ronael Pierre-Gabriel mainly plays as a right back, but can also play a wide position. He came from the youth training of Saint-Etienne, and his career debut took place on November 29, 2015, when he defeated Guingamp 3-0 in the 15th round of Ligue 1.
On July 9, 2018, Pierre Gabriel joined Monaco for 6 million euros, and the following year he moved from Ligue 1 to Bundesliga’s Mainz 05. In the next two years, the French wingback was loaned to Brest and Strasbourg successively, so he has only played 8 times for Mainz so far and sent 1 assist.
